Before the Invention of the Telephone
Before the invention of the telephone it was harder to communicate to someone that lived far away. When the letter was send by horse it took about a month to reach the other person. Also the telephone mail was the only way to communicate. People would have to tell their friends to watch for a signal before the invention of the telephone. Also Africans once beat drums to send messages.
